Yes, I’m migrating out…

After careful thoughts, I’ve decided to migrate - I mean, my blog! Can’t bear to leave this place - I believe it has fulfilled the purpose I meant for it…

I believe it has encouraged many people along the way, blessed many and shared with many about my life. It has given others a glimpse of my personality, my thought life and my principles. Many times when I post an article, I write those positive reports as a mean to encourage myself.

A special "THANK YOU" to all of you who have constantly stay tuned to my posts, who have encouraged me tremendously with your comments. Thank you!

This blog will officially close on the 9th September 2007 (Sunday), at 2359hrs. Before this, I do hope to hear from you if you have come across my blog, or have been following it. Let me know if my blog has been of any value-add to your life.

Can one man make a difference?

YES, everyone of us CAN …when we choose to stay focused and motivated and start excelling in what we are doing, be it great or little things.

When you start to excel in whatever you are doing, you gain respect from the people around you - your bosses, your colleagues, your friends, your fellow classmates etc.

This is when the words you say carry weight - because you have your works to substantiate your words. You then get to influence the ones around you and gain the opportunities to change and impact lives (for the better).

Why do all these mean then?…STOP daydreaming and START working towards your vision. Be excellent, not just good, at what you do.

Your life is the result of your choices. You set your own standards.

In the movie, Congressmen Baxter (played by Steve Carell) prays to God that he wants to change the world while his wife prayed for the family to get closer. Shortly after, Baxter was approached by God (played by who else but Morgan Freeman) to build an Ark just like Noah in Genesis. After much resistance and denial, Baxter accepted his mission and went ahead to build the Ark.

In spite of the ridicule he received from the media and politicians, he persisted. It got so bad that he was suspended from his duties as congressman and his family left him. At the cafe, God appeared as a waiter and spoke to Baxter’s wife. In their conversation, he shared with her that…

When you pray for courage, God does not give you courage. He gives you the OPPORTUNITY to become courageous.

When you pray for your family to become closer, God does not give you that fuzzy warm feeling. Instead, he gives you the OPPORTUNITY to become closer and stronger.

Likewise when Baxter prayed for the ability to change the world, God gave him the OPPORTUNITY to do so.

The opportunity for VICTORY is provided by our enemy - the trials, tribulations and adversity. They give us a chance to demonstrate courage, fortitude, determination and resilience. What are you praying for today? Can the challenge that is set before you be the very answer you’ve been praying for?

VICTORY is a given- it is a result of who we are in Him. The process of becoming better and stronger begins with the way we handle challenging situations. It is this process which shapes us and mould our characters. And it is who we’ve become that attracts the very things we desire.

Every adversity, every heartache and every failure carries with it the Seed of an equivalent or a greater benefit. When we refuse to bow, the resistence build steel in our backbones. Choose to become better. Not bitter.
